MIAMI COUNTY, KS – The Miami County, Kansas Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the theft of a 24 foot, 1983 Circle D flatbed trailer. The trailer has a 4 foot dovetail, has tandem axles and is gray in color. The trailer was stolen between Sunday, 10-12-2014 at 10 AM and Monday, 10-13-2014 at 2 PM.
The trailer was taken from a barn located behind a closed fence on property near 223rd and Woodland Road, just east of Spring Hill, Kansas in extreme northern Miami County, Kansas. (Just south of the Kansas City region for those not familiar) The VIN “3095” is welded onto the frame.
**As a side note, the same victim had the driver’s door and the hood emblem stolen from a 1952 Chevrolet Grain Truck approximately three weeks ago from the same barn. In both instances the barn doors were closed. (Sounds like someone needed parts to their own 52’)
If you have any information in regards to these thefts, please contact Detective Timothy Brown of the Miami County, Kansas Sheriff’s Office at 913-294-3232.
