STOCKTON, MO – A MU Extension Hay School will be held in Osceola on October 14th, the pre-registration deadline is Friday, October 10th. The Hay School will be held at the First Baptist Church in Osceola, MO beginning at 9am.
The presenters and topics that will be covered are:
• Hay Economics and Budgeting by Nate Cahill, Johnson County MU Extension Regional Agriculture Business Specialist
• Livestock and Hay Nutrition by Patrick Davis, Cedar County MU Extension Regional Livestock Specialist
• Fertility Management by Pat Miller, Vernon County MU Extension Regional Agronomy Specialist
• Testing and Quality Issues by Patrick Davis, Cedar County MU Extension Regional Livestock Specialist
• Storage and Feeding Management by Bob Schultheis, Webster County MU Extension Regional Natural Resource Engineering Specialist
• Hay and Baleage Harvest Systems by Bob Schultheis, Webster County MU Extension Regional Natural Resource Engineering Specialist
The cost of the event is $25 per person and must be paid along with registration to the St. Clair County Extension Center by October 10th. The fee covers handouts, lunch and refreshments. A minimum of 20 people is required to hold the class, so register early.
