Vernon County Extension Council Elections Begin February 6

The Vernon County Extension Council Elections will be held February 6 through February 14. The county extension council works with the Extension staff members in planning and making recommendations for educational programs. The Vernon County council is composed of 20 members, 16 elected and 2 appointed.  Voting throughout the county will be by districts. Voters can only vote for candidates in their district.  Vernon County is divided into 2 districts:  Northern (north of 54 Highway) and Southern (South of 54 Highway).  Anyone who is 18 or older is eligible to vote.  Ballot boxes will be placed at the following locations:

Extension Center – Nevada

Farm Bureau – Nevada

Farm Service Agency – Nevada

YMCA – Nevada
