There will be a Food Preservation Boot Camp Canning Class held on Saturday, May 31st from 8:30am – 5:00pm at the Ohio Street United Methodist Church in Butler. Those attending will learn the hands-on experience of how to pressure can low-acid foods, salsa making (fruit and tomato), pickling, how to make perfect jams and jellies and how to dehydrate foods.
The cost is just $80 and you will receive safety tested and approved recipes as well as handouts, and a Q&A time with Tammy Roberts,
Nutrition Specialist who is an expert in home food preservation.
Lunch will be provided. Minimum participation is 7 and the max is 20. Register now at the Bates County Extension Office.
