BUTLER, MO – Congratulations to the Butler R-V School District who are the recipient of a $25,000 grant from Monsanto.
Earlier in the year farmers who grows 250 acres of corn or soybeans or who grows more than 10 acres of vegetables were asked to nominate the Butler School to receive this grant from Monsanto.
The grant will go toward improving science and math instruction. The team of educators at Butler identified science laboratory sensors and equipment which will enhance biology, physics and chemistry instruction at the 7 – 12th grade level. This is already a targeted need, and will offer the students a modern, hands-on application of scientific measurement and processes which researchers and technicians use in laboratories every day.
The ceremony will take place on Friday, October 3rd at 2:30pm during the homecoming parade in the center of the Butler Square on the Bates County Courthouse lawn.
