Events happening on July 18th during the Bates County Fair will include the Bates County Fair Board Steak and Chop Dinner and the Junior Livestock Awards and Sale.
The Bates County Fair Board Steak and Chop dinner will be held at 5PM. Following the dinner will be the awards for the Junior Livestock at 7PM. If Grand Champion or Reserve Champion animal is owned by an exhibitor that is not a member of a Bates County Youth Group, a Bates County Champion will be chosen. This rule also applies to the Showmanship Champions.
Following the awards of the Junior Livestock will be the Junior Livestock Sale at 7:30PM. Exhibitors are responsible for getting animals to locker. Exhibitors are only allowed to sell one item in the Junior Livestock Sale. Hams must receive a blue ribbon to sell in the livestock auction. Pen of three meat rabbits and pen of three meat chickens will be allowed to sell in the livestock auction.
The Junior Livestock Sale will be conducted as a premium sale. Bidders will bid a dollar amount above the floor price if a floor price has been established for that item.
Wrapping up the night will be Bingo. Bingo will be happening nightly Monday through Saturday, July 15-20, at 7PM. Bingo will be held at the Bingo Pavilion and is sponsored by Adrian Elks.
