The Missouri Department of Transportation has said that crew will begin work at I-49 in Nevada and progress toward El Dorado Springs.
During this project there will be 18 miles effected by the road resurfacing and concrete shoulders, during the project workers will install edge-line and center-line rumble stripes.
The prime contractor is Chester Bross Construction Co. of Palmyra. The cost of the construction will be $2.3 million. The date of completion is late September, but the contractor has plans to complete the project well ahead of the deadline.
The traffic impact to expect will include: one-lane traffic where crews are set up, pilot vehicles to lead drivers through work zones, flaggers to direct traffic through work zones, nighttime lane closings when crews reach El Dorado Springs as crews will only work at night between the hours of 7PM and 7AM.
Other than the nighttime workers near El Dorado Springs the rest of the project will take place during the day.
