MISSOURI - OATS, Inc. received a $50,000 contribution on Wednesday July 24th, which will aid transportation-disadvantaged Missourians gain access to employment.
The grant – which was given to the non-profit organization through the Walmart Foundation’s State Giving Program – will provide transportation to work for more than 200 Missouri residents.
The Walmart Foundation funding will benefit primarily low-income and disabled persons in OATS' service regions in Missouri.
The grant was presented to OATS, Inc. during a check presentation ceremony held on Wednesday July 24th at its headquarters in Columbia.
During the ceremony, Columbia Walmart Store Managers Dustin Graham, Trisha Cowan, and Sara Bak, along with Market Manager Steve Maloney and LaTonya Annoor from the area office, presented the check to OATS Executive Director Dorothy Yeager and OATS Directors.
The contribution to OATS was made possible through the Walmart Foundation’s Missouri State Giving Program. Through this program, the Walmart Foundation supports organizations that create opportunities so people can live better.
The Walmart Foundation State Giving Program strives to award grants that have a long-lasting, positive impact on communities across the U.S.
