Accident Tuesday when Tractor and Truck Collide

An accident Tuesday morning occurred on 18 Highway at County Road 12001 when Ronny Reed, 58 of Kansas City MO was traveling East and attempted to pass a 1983 John Deere Tractor driven by Matthew Kohler 31, of Amsterdam. 

Reed attempted to pass the tractor as it was turning North onto County Road 12001 and struck the side of the tractor.  Both vehicles came to rest in the middle of the roadway. 

Reed was taken to the Bates County Memorial Hospital by Bates County EMS with moderate injuries.
