NASA Astro4Girls and Their Families Comes to the Butler Public Library

The Butler Public Library has the honor to have been selected for a second year as one of the 25 libraries in the United States to host a NASA Astro4girls and their family event.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 5th in the Butler High School Gym Lobby where two programs will be presented.

The first program begins at 10am when Neta Apple will do a presentation on “What Does NASA Do” which will last one hour.

The second program of the day will be from 11am – 2pm. Everyone will enjoy having fun with astronomy and science activities as well as the opportunity to win door prizes.

Saturday evening from 7:30 – 10pm join in the “Star Party” at the Butler Public Library. Members of the Astronomical Society of Kansas City will guide everyone in viewing the wonders of the night sky.  Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets, all of this will take place outdoors.
