Bates County Memorial Hospital extends its appreciation to the Enbridge Energy Company, Inc. for supporting the Bates County Emergency Medical Services with a $996 grant from the Enbridge Safe Community Program. The funds were utilized to purchase high-intensity LED lights for emergency medical staff to carry on their person. These rescue-quality flashlights provide additional safety to hospital staff when providing emergency medical care in conditions that may be unsafe and have poor lighting.
The Safe Community program awards grants to local first-response emergency services, including fire fighters and rescue services, Emergency Medical Services, ambulance, and police in rural communities across North America. Enbridge’s Safe Community program has existed in the U.S. since 2002.
