The question goes to voters on the April 8 municipal election ballot. If approved, the half-cent sales tax will fund a decade of improvements and upgrades to every street in Harrisonville. Six of the most heavily traveled will receive full depth reconstruction, curb and gutter, striping, storm inlets and sidewalks. All other streets in the city will be resurfaced at least once during the 10 year lifespan of the tax. Storm water improvements are also planned at various points.
Voters are invited to drop by the Open House to pick up literature about the Transportation plan, view maps of the proposed improvements, and to ask questions of city officials and staff in a friendly and informal setting.
