HENRY COUNTY, Mo – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the C.O.D.E. conducted a Drug Take Back activity in conjunction with National Drug Take Back day around the nation.
The event, held at Merryfield Pharmacy in Windsor, collected 30 pounds of expired and unwanted prescription medications.
Sheriff Oberkrom said, “This was a great turn out and we are thankful that many participated in the event by bring by their old prescription drugs. The program is provided so that prescription medications are disposed of properly and don’t get into the wrong hands or into our water tables. We had a great location and thanks go to Merryfield Pharmacy for hosting the event.”
The next Drug Take Back is scheduled for October 18, 2014 at Summers Pharmacy in Clinton from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
