HENRY COUNTY, Mo – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the C.O.D.E. group will be sponsoring two Drug Take Back events this fall.
The first one will be held at Merryfield Pharmacy in Windsor this Saturday, September 27, 2014 along with the National Drug Take Back Day from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The second event will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Summers Pharmacy in Clinton along with Red Ribbon Week from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Anyone with expired or un-wanted prescription medications are urged to take advantage of this opportunity to properly dispose of these drugs. “We do not want any of these drugs, especially narcotic medications, falling into the hands of those that they were not intended for and we don’t want these drugs disposed of in a way that contaminates our water supplies”, Sheriff Oberkrom said.
Please plan on stopping by either site and dropping off your expired or unwanted medications.
