BATES COUNTY, Mo – Early Friday morning Bates County Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives were dispatched to a residence in the city limits of Rich Hill in reference to an armed robbery. The victim reported that around 10:30 p.m. on the previous night two female suspects and two male suspects entered his home and held him at gunpoint. The two male suspects bound his hands and feet with duct tape. They then proceeded to ransack his house and stole multiple electronics from his home. All four suspects then left his residence. After several hours the victim was able to remove the duct tape that was used to restrain him. He was then able to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
With the help of Rich Hill Police Department and Kansas City Police Department, Detectives from the Bates County Sheriff’s Office were able to locate the two female suspects in the Kansas City area. The female suspects were trying to sell the electronics and video games that were stolen from the victim at a video game store in Kansas City.
This is still an ongoing investigation. Once charges have been filed against the suspects, the Bates County Sheriff’s Office will be able to release the suspects names and warrant information.
