BATES COUNTY, Mo – On 04-16-2015 Bates County Special Response Team was activated to evaluate and plan an execution of a Search Warrant. The residence is located in rural Bates County at 481 NE County Road 10564 in Adrian. A week prior to this, during a narcotics interdiction traffic stop, a Bates County CNET Officer, recovered precursor chemicals and components used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, or better known as a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory. This led the Bates County CNET Officer to open an active investigation on the above mentioned residence and its occupants.
The Bates County Task Force investigators were able to use this information to obtain a search warrant. The search warrant was executed by the Special Response Team at dusk last night. Once the scene was secure and safe and methodical search of the property began. During the search of the property, Task Force Agents were able to locate a Clandestine Methamphetamine Lab, and methamphetamine in the residence. One adult male was taken into custody without incident. There are multiple persons still at large that are expected to be arrested on the case. The case is still an active and ongoing investigation. The names of the suspects will be released at a later date pending charges being filed.

The adult male that was taken into custody at the scene on 04-16-2015 was identified as Lex Kennedy DOB 07-21-1961 of Adrian. A Bates county warrant was issued on his person on April the 17th for:
Possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture or create a controlled substance a class C felony, unlawfull use of drug paraphernalia, Amphetamine/methamphetamine a class D felony.
Bond was set at $15,000.00 Cash or Surety.
