Bates County Memorial Hospital Offers the Patient Channel

BUTLER, Mo – Bates County Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the availability of The Patient Channel to all of our hospital patients before, during, and after their hospital stay.

The Patient Channel delivers award-winning health education video programming on hospital televisions and via an online portal to help educate patients on their health conditions and prepare them for transitioning back home.

The Patient Channel provides informative and accessible programming on a variety of health conditions, including cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and more. Topics such as communicating with your doctor, staying safe while in the hospital, managing medicines, and self-care at home are also covered. Patients can watch programming 24/7 on their in-room hospital television, or on their own internet-enabled mobile devices.

All content on the Patient Channel is overseen and reviewed by a Medical Advisory Board which works diligently to ensure that all content is clinically accurate and presented in an engaging and easy-to-understand way for patients and their families.
