VERNON COUNTY, Mo – A meth lab, methamphetamines, and drug paraphernalia were seized during a drug raid at a residence in the 200 block of Otto Street in Moundville late Tuesday night.
According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff’s Deputies and agents with the CNET Drug Task Force served a search warrant on the residence as a result of a drug investigation by the Sheriff’s Office. Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said the investigation has been ongoing for a while. “We have been gathering information on this case and had to wait until we had enough for a search warrant, and it paid off” Mosher said.
An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday afternoon for Jay W Strunk, 42 of Moundville for: Distribution/Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance, Keeping or Maintaining a Public Nuisance, 1st degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Unlawful use of Drug Paraphernalia. Mosher said the lab was removed by certified lab technicians without incident. Strunk is being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $50,000 cash only bond.
