The Bates County Sheriff’s Office announces severe thunderstorm watches in effect for Bates County until 7 pm this evening please be aware as weather conditions are likely to deteriorate. There is a warning for southwest Bates County. The storm in located in Linn County moving east at 70 miles per hour. With 60 mile per hour wind gusts, quarter size hail reported. Areas in the path of this storm include: Hume, Worland, Foster, Amoret and Amsterdam.
